Overview

A cinematic pre-launch website for a GTA6 development studio — illustrated scenes, scroll-driven films and the colours of Vice City.

(01)About

Anuvia Studio is a GTA6 development studio building high-fidelity UGC and immersive systems for the SixM platform and ROME. Ahead of its first releases, the studio needed a home that shows the world it is building and brings the roleplay community on board.

We took the website from layered artwork to production: page structure, scroll choreography, motion and a front end delivered as a custom WordPress theme.

(02)Challenge

The studio's projects were still on their way, so there were no release pages to lean on. The site had to sell a whole world with a handful of illustrations and renders, feel like part of the game from the first frame, carry full-screen film and stay smooth on a phone as well as on a 2K monitor.

(03)Solution

We staged the page as a tour of that world. A layered illustrated hero opens on the studio's wordmark, then every project gets its own scene: the Winter White House and the New Capitol District, John Z. Drake pinned inside his factory, and the Drake Sovereign on a neon-lit postcard.

Each postcard opens. One click sends the card away, and the scroll takes over a full-screen film that settles behind the story and a rail of stills and clips.

(04)Development

A hand-written front end with no frameworks. One render loop drives the wheel smoothing and every scroll scene, and the films are baked into WebP frame sequences, so the camera follows the scroll cleanly in both directions.

On phones each scene has its own portrait composition, including a four-layer hero, and the preloader runs on CSS frames instead of video, so iOS Low Power Mode can't freeze it.
